Irem Bulut’s striking photography project delves into the nuanced and often overlooked representation of women within mosque spaces. Drawing inspiration from Ara Güler’s iconic photograph “Woman and God,” Bulut reimagines these sacred interiors by centering her lens on the silent narratives of women worshippers. Created as her 2023 graduation project, the series thoughtfully captures how f women’s identity and spirituality intersect within the architectural grandeur of mosques.
