Karadeniz Biter Mi? Is Blacksea Infinite?

Ministry of Culture General Directorate of Cinema Support Program 20. Uluslararası İşçi Filmleri Festivali Is Black Sea Infinite? tells about the small boat fishing in the Black Sea and the ecological crisis in the Black Sea. Our documentary project was supported by the Ministry of Culture in 2021. This documentary explores the Black Sea, a region nourished by thousands of streams and rich in both its ecosystem and cultural heritage yet pushed to the brink of depletion due to overfishing, pollution, and human impact. Through the daily struggles of small scale fisherman Sezgin Arslan, it highlights the reality that the sea is not just a source of life but also a carrier of culture. As it shares the hopes and concerns of lives intertwined with the sea, it reminds us all of our shared responsibility for the future of the Black Sea. Director: Cemal Cimen DOP: Hamdi F.
